Emergency mode announced in Ukraine's Radomyshl over coronavirus case

The local authorities of Radomyshl, Zhytomyr region (northern Ukraine) announced the emergency mode in this town. The decision takes effect on Friday, March 13.

The reason is that a local woman turned out to be infected with the Covid-19, the Chinese coronavirus. It's one of the three cases currently confirmed by the Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine. Vitaliy Bunechko, the head of Zhytomyr regional state administration posted that on Facebook.

"This is of a local nature; it will include shutting down of all malls and education facilities (...)", he wrote. That is, the emergency mode willl only concern this particular town.

On March 12, Zhytomyr regional lab centre received the necessary amount of tests for coronavirus infection.

All citizens are required to report to their doctors in case of slightest suspicions of the infection.

Earlier, we reported that President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda decided to delay his visit to Ukraine because of the spreading Chinese coronavirus. The visit was scheduled for March 18-20.
