The founder of Tesla and SpaceX, the billionaire Elon Musk, has already handed over more than a thousand mechanical ventilation devices to hospitals and is also ready to send them around the world to save people with complications from coronavirus.
Musk wrote about this on his Twitter. According to him, delivery will be free, but with one condition.
"We have extra FDA (U.S Food and Drugs Administration – ed.) -approved ventilators. Will ship to hospitals worldwide within Tesla delivery regions. Device and shipping cost are free. Only requirement is that the vents are needed immediately for patients, not stored in a warehouse," the message reads.
As we reported, the crisis that the coronavirus pandemic caused in the world is the worst since the Second World War, as UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated
According to him, coronavirus is a threat to all of humanity, and will also have economic consequences that will provoke a recession.
"This gives reason to believe that this is indeed the biggest crisis of those that we have had to deal with since the Second World War," - the UN Secretary-General said.
