In the Dniprovsky district of Kyiv, an elevator with ambulance doctors who had arrived on an urgent call was cut off. Fortunately, the emergency braking system was activated on the second floor and the elevator stopped. This was announced by the capital Emergency Medicine and Disaster Medicine Center on its Facebook page.

"In one of the houses, an elevator with ambulance doctors who had arrived on an urgent call was cut off. The woman passed out gasped, and foam came out of her mouth. So the ambulance left immediately. The address given was The doctors received from the sick mother and the 10-year-old. Everyone got on the elevator and began to climb to the eighth floor. Suddenly the elevator that reached the fifth floor fell down quickly. Fortunately, the emergency braking system worked and on the second floor the elevator stopped," said the center.

While the specialists were rescuing the doctors from the elevator, another team answered the call and provided the patient with the necessary emergency aid.

As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to introduce another level of salary allowances for physicians who are fighting the coronavirus.

"To support doctors who are fighting the coronavirus, we are introducing another level of salary increments. Additional adjusting coefficients are being introduced to the package of medical services, which will make it possible to take into account the workload of hospitals and, accordingly, affect the increase in payments to doctors," the Prime Minister said.
