At the entrances to Kyiv, the rescuers deployed eight warming posts for drivers who cannot enter the capital as Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported.
“The forecasters provide an unpromising prediction. The snowfalls will continue a few days with different intensities. At the end of the week, we expect the sharp descent of air temperature…Capital’s rescuers equipped warming posts for drivers at the entrances to Kyiv. They can use everything if they need it. We have eight such posts. They are provided with heaters, food and tea,” Klitschko reported.
He also reminded that extra warming posts were deployed at Darnytsia and Pivdenny railways. They work 24/7.
“During the past days, over 2,000 people appealed to the posts at the railways. Extra warming posts will work until the severe frosts last. There are over 30 stationary warming posts in Kyiv. They work since December 1 until March 31,” Klitschko noted.
As we reported, 62 settlements in Ukraine are experiencing trouble with electricity supplies because of harsh weather conditions.
