A jet crash occurred in Egypt on December 5, as Russia-made fighter MiG-29 collapsed during the military drills. Xinhua reported that on Friday.

The medium said Egyptian Air Force MiG-29 crashed due to the sudden malfunction.

The pilot ejected, but his current condition is unknown yet. It's the second MiG-29 that crashed in Egypt since Cairo and Moscow made a USD 2.5 bn deal in 2016; under the agreement, Russia supplied 46 fighters to Egypt. Previously, a Russian MiG-29 crashed in Egypt in November 2018; the Russian side claimed it sent a group of experts to look into the cause of the crash.
