Earthquake in Osaka claimes lives of three, over 200 suffer consequences

The media refer to the quake as one of the most powerful over the decade

Three people deceased and at least 217 suffered during the 6.1-magnitude earthquake in Osaka, NHK reports.

One of the victims is a nine-year-old girl, pressed against the wall near the pool at school. Another two old people suffered fatal injuries, one of them died instantly, due to the collapse of the wall.

The railroad traffic in southwestern Japan is now practically stopped.

170,000 apartments and private houses are cut off from energy supplies.

Japan Times called the quake 'one of the most powerful ones over the decade'.

As we reported, a fire emerged in Chornobyl exclusion zone; the firemen and the State Emergency Service's aviation put it out quickly.
