Pfizer vaccine apparently causes dozens of cases of side effects - specifically, in the Netherlands. NOS reported that on January 15, citing Agnes Kant, the director of Centre for Pharmeceutical Monitoring in this country.

According to the official, in two cases, tough allergic reaction was reported. "The symptoms included rash and a tumor around the eyes. These people got help, and they recovered fast", Kant said.

The allergic reaction is a rare side effect that has been observed in other couintries, too, including the United Kingdom. The EMA, being aware of these effects, recommends that patients undergo surveillance for 15 minutes after the injection.

Some patients in the Netherlands claimed allegric reactions, headache, fatigue and pain in the spot where the shot was made. The experts say that side effects during vaccination are quite natural, as the immune system responds after the injection.

"We hoped that in every 10,000 inoculations, we would get 20 to 25 side effect reports, so it meets our estimates. But we do not get the reports about all side effects, either", Kant said.

The anti-coronavirus vaccination campaign kicked off in the Netherlands on January 6. Some 47,000 people have been inoculated since then.

Lethal cases after the injections with Pfizer vaccine were observed in several countries, including Germany (10) and Norway (20).
