Drunken man staged shooting at playground, one parent wounded

A man staged shooting from the traumatic gun at the playground in Mariupol, Donetsk region as the local police reported.

According to the message, the incident took place in the Central district of the city.

According to the law enforcers' information, the children played with the water pistols and the drunken man saw it from the window. According to him, he thought that adults who were with children aimed the real arms at the children and he hurried to save them.

'An intruder ran to the yard shouting and shot once in the air. The parents of the children began to calm the aggressor, attempting to seize the gun. Then man shot twice at 30-year-old father of one of the children', the message said.

The wounded was hospitalized to the local hospital. Now he is in the intensive care unit.

The intruder was detained. It was established that he bought the traumatic gun at the internet for the self-defense. Earlier he was not brought to the criminal responsibility but the locals complained about his aggressive behavior and permanent conflicts many times.

The criminal proceeding was opened due to the intentional grave bodily harms. A man can be imprisoned for 5-8 years.

As we reported a shooting incident occurred at 'Cherkashchyna' NGO central office in Cherkasy, central Ukraine. The police got a call about a man that attacked the office in the evening. The attacker had two hand grenades and a pistol with him; he locked himself up inside the room. 

Later, the local reporters found out that another man was killed in the police operation. The deceased man was Serhiy Gura, the MP and the former deputy mayor of Cherkasy.
