A road accident occurred in Germany, as Ukrainian driver rammed the police vehicle at Autobahn 61 not far from the German-Dutch border. The 40-ton van crashed into the car, killing 23-year-old policewoman; her two counterparts suffered grave injuries and were hospitalized.
According to Vladyslav Yehorov, Ukraine's Consul General in Düsseldorf, the 48-year-old driver was detained. His blood test showed he was drunk, with over 2 permille of alcohol in the blood. The detainee is currently at the pre-trial detention center in Mönchengladbach.
The investigation is underway.
