The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) claimed about the opening of the so-called representative center in Marseille (France) on September 25. The separatist news agency DAN reported this.
‘The representative center of the Donetsk People’s Republic opened in France and it is the fifth in succession in the countries of the EU’, the message said.
Also, it is reported that the center is headed by the Common Councilor of the Mayor’s Office of Marseille Gerald Hubert Fayard.
The DPR’s representatives claimed that earlier the similar centers were opened in Greece, Italy, Finland and the Czech Republic.
Ambassador of Ukraine to France Oleg Shamshur emphasized the unofficial status of the center when he commented on its opening.
‘The inauguration of the so-called representative center of the Donetsk People’s Republic in France in Marseille is a pathetic attempt to legitimate the terrorist organization by the pro-Russian marionettes’, he wrote at Twitter.
The so-called MFA of DPR claimed that the first in Europe representative center would be officially registered and opened in the Czech Republic and it will be headed by Neli Leskova in September 2016. The Czech Republic belied this information and eliminated the possibility of the creation of the militants’ representative center in the country.
The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine expressed the note of protests to the Czech colleagues due to the confirmation of the information about the registration of the representative center of the Donetsk People’s Republic in Ostrava.
Later the court of the Czech Republic liquidated the self-claimed representative center of the DPR as illegal.
