A verbal fight ended up in a murder in the Ukrainian capital. The tragedy occurred at a bus stop in Kyiv on February 10.
Ruslan Yurchenko, who worked as a chef at a restaurant on Odesa was waiting in line for the bus; the attacker, Volodymyr Balabukh, who served with the 72nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army attempted to get on the bus, without waiting in line.
Yurchenko reprimanded him for his behavior; then, Balabukh bought a knife at a local store, returned to the line and stabbed Yurchenko in the back. The wounded man deceased instantly - in front of his wife.
Soon after that, the police detained and searched Balabukh; he kept the knife, so the law enforcers seized it and arrested him. He confessed to have committed the crime.
Volodymyr Balabukh is now suspected of the intentional murder. On Monday, the court ruled that he will be staying at a pre-trial detention facility for two months.
