A 21-year-old man, the participant in Donbas conflict, has been kidnapped in front of his family. According to the police in Donetsk region, the incident occurred in the town of Pokrovsk on May 15.
The attackers grabbed the man and took him in the unknown direction. They taped his arms, legs and eyes with a scotch tape. Then, they tortured him, trying to recruit him as a member of a criminal gang. They previously tried to recruit him otherwise, but the attempts failed.
After the tortures, the culprits brought the man exactly where they took him. At that, they took all of his money and the jewelry.
The man was taken to a hospital, suffering from multiple injuries; he's in a grave condition.
The law enforcers detained the organizer of the attack and three of his accomplices. It appeared that alll of them were residents of Pokrovsk and they stood before trial earlier. Some of the culprits were judged 5-6 times before.
The police opened criminal cases on three articles of the Criminal Code (for kidnapping, tortures and brigandism). The gang members could face up to 10 years behind the bars.
