The Kyiv District Administrative Court has opened a lawsuit against the order of the Ministry of Health on the list of professions for which coronavirus vaccination is defined as mandatory. The court scheduled a preparatory hearing for November 25, the press service of the court informs.

"The Kyiv District Administrative Court has opened proceedings in the case of Dmytro Lamza's lawsuit to the Ministry of Health to declare illegal and invalid the order approving the list of professions whose employees are subject to mandatory vaccination. The court will hear the case according to the rules of general claim proceedings. The preparatory court hearing is on November 25," the statement reads.

The court reminds that the plaintiff asks the District Administrative Court of Kyiv to declare illegal and invalid the order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, dated October 4, 2021 "On approval of the list of professions, industries and organizations whose employees are subject to mandatory vaccination."

As it was reported earlier, on October 7 Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry has approved the list of jobs where the workers are obliged to get vaccinated. The compulsory vaccination campaign among these people should be over within a month, the Ministry's press office reports.

According to the law, the vaccination is compulsory for the following categories of people:

  • employees of the central governmental authorities and their territorial branches;
  • regional state administrations and their subdivisions;
  • workers of education institutions of all levels, regardless their kind of ownership.
