“On October 26, in Uzhhorod, eight bottles with diphtheria antitoxin were transported by special vehicles. Six were allocated by Lviv and by Chernivtsi regions, two came from the Ivano-Frankisvk region,” the message said.
It is noted that India has bought 100 bottles of the antitoxin. The presence of the registration of this medicine is checked.
“If it will meet all requirements then it will be transferred by plane to Uzhhorod on October 30. Currently, the state of the sickened with diphtheria is stable; new cases of the disease are not spotted,” the message said.
As we reported 15 university students from Uzhgorod (western Ukraine) experienced symptoms of diphtheria.
Earlier, the case of diphtheria of a schoolchild was confirmed in Kyiv. Another two cases were spotted in Uzhhorod.
Totally, three people are infected as for today.
Earlier, the UN reported that 70 percent of all measles cases in Europe are observed in Ukraine.
Besides, all adults will get the vaccines against measles for free. Former Acting Healthcare Minister Ulyana Suprun reported that another 780,000 vaccines against measles will be bought by Ukraine in 2019.
