On January 6, border guards of the Lviv region, together with operational officers, detained two illegal immigrants, who were trying to illegally enter Poland. The press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine reports.

"The violators, Turkish citizens, born in 1980 and 1996, apparently hoped that on Christmas Eve border guards would lose their vigilance. When the Ukrainians traditionally sit down to try kutya (special Christmas dish,- ed.) and start caroling, the Turks decided to try their luck. Foreigners did not take into account that more than five thousand border guards are at Christmas in the border guard service. Illegals were stopped 200 meters from the EU border. As it turned out, they arrived in Ukraine legally about a month ago," the statement said.

The men were detained administratively. The punishment will be determined by the court. Instead of a visit to the European Union, they are expected to return to their country of origin

As we reported, the state border service has already received 7 French helicopters. Among them are five H225 helicopters and two Airbus H125 helicopters.
