In January 2020, 850 vehicles were sold in the new commercial vehicle market, which is 4% more than in January last year, Ukravtoprom, Ukrainian automobile and motor vehicle association, reported.

Most often, Ukrainians buy trucks and special purpose vehicles of the French brand Renault - 149 cars per month. This is a better result, despite the registrations of new commercial vehicles of this brand declining by 13% compared to January 2019.

The Italian carmaker Fiat has increased sales of its vehicles by almost a third and has taken the second stage of the rating - 140 new cars a month.

Third place belongs to another French car giant - Peugeot. In January 2020, 90 new cars of this brand were registered in Ukraine, which is 2.7 times more than in January 2019.

As we reported earlier, the demand for electric vehicles in Ukraine has been growing. Last year, the number of registered vehicles made 7,542, with 7,012 of these being light-duty vehicles. Another 530 are commercial vehicles.

The increase in the demand resulted in the growth of the light-duty electric car market by almost one third. The market of commercial electric vehicles grew even more - by one and a half times.
