"The contractor was technically unable to implement its plan with the help of tugs. The operation will continue tomorrow. The shipowner still enjoys the right to independently raise the tanker," Kutsy said.

He added that in case of failure, the Administration of the seaports of Ukraine and the Ministry of Infrastructure will move to forced lifting of the vessel in order to remove the tanker as soon as possible.

As we reported before, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal instructed the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy to personally control the lifting of the Delfi vessel in Odesa

"I instructed the Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krikliy to take personal control over the raising of the Delfi ship in Odesa. After all, so far we see the inability to resolve the issue both on the part of the ship's owner and on the part of local authorities," Shmygal writes.
