The number of victims in Grenfell Tower fire has risen to 17 people. This was reported by Stuart Cundy, representative of London police, according to The Guardian.

According to him, the complete assessment of the number of dead it yet to come.

Commissioner of the London Fire Brigade Dany Cotton informed that the rescuers want to make sure that the building is safe for search works inside.

As it is known, the fire broke out in the 27-floors multi-story living house Grenfell Tower at night on June 14.  Almost nothing remained of the building, the firefighters still work. The Grenfell Tower consisted of 120 flats. The fire consumed almost the whole building from the second to the twenty-fourth floor (the house became 24 storeyed after the reconstruction in 2016). Over 70 house residents were hospitalized.
