President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expects that in the near future, the dates of the return of detainees in Crimea and Russia will be named. He said this at a joint briefing with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. 112 Ukraine TV channel conducted the broadcast.
"A list is being prepared there, the list is very large. We have already submitted this list, it will be agreed in Minsk. I think that in the near future, there will be dates for the first part of our prisoners; the first, because, indeed, there are a lot of people there," - Zelensky declared.
He said that a conversation had begun with the Russian side regarding the exchange of prisoners who are in the Crimea or on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“The work began there, too, and I’m sure that there will also be dates in the near future and society will see the lists. We, the whole team, are going through hard and difficult times, but we are working on it. And most of the prisoners we are talking about are the Russian side, namely those who are in the territory of the Russian Federation, the majority there are indeed Crimean Tatars," the head of state said.
As we reported before, self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic believes that the exchange of detained persons with Ukraine in 'all for all' format is impossible until the military actions are discontinued.
