The data of 1.5 billion users of Facebook social network were put up for sale on the black market as Privacy Affairs reported.

It is the largest leakage of users’ data in the history of Facebook.

At the end of September 2021, a user of hacker forum published the announcement, in which he stated that he owns the personal information of over 1.5 billion users of Facebook. Currently, this information is put up for sale.

One potential buyer stated that he was offered 1 million of Facebook accounts for $5,000.

The data contains the nfollowing personal information:

  • Name
  • E-mail
  • Location
  • Gender
  • Phone number
  • User’s ID

As we reported, social networks and programs were crashing worldwide on October 4. According to Downdetector, the issues have been observed in the work of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Netflix, Steam, PlayStation Network, Twitter and others.
