The number of new cases is on the rise again

During the day, 23,283 people were infected with the coronavirus in Ukraine. Also, over the past day, 5696 people were hospitalized, deaths - 816, recovered - 16,277 people. Thus, the death rate for the second day in a row exceeds 800 cases.

France will make "boosters" for 65+ people mandatory

French President Emmanuel Macron said that from December 15, sanitary passports of persons aged 65 and over will no longer be valid if they have not been revaccinated.

It is currently the only age group that can receive an additional shot in France, but Macron also announced that people between the ages of 50 and 64 will also be able to receive it "in early December."

Czech Republic records most new Covid-19 cases since March

The Czech Republic has the highest number of Covid-19 cases since March 2021: 14,539 new positive tests. Prague International announced that the Czech government will meet today to discuss the possible tightening of restrictions across the country.

Only two "yellow" regions in Ukraine

Over 8 million Ukrainians have received two doses

More than 8 million Ukrainians have already received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. During the day on November 8, 240,440 people in Ukraine were vaccinated against Covid-19. 140,439 people received one dose, 100,001 people were fully immunized.

The Ministry of Health has expanded the list of professions subject to mandatory vaccination against coronavirus. Employees will be added to teachers and officials:

  • enterprises, institutions, and organizations related to the sphere of management of the central executive authorities;
  • institutions and institutions providing social services, institutions for the social protection of children, rehabilitation institutions;
  • enterprises, institutions, and organizations included in the List of State Property Objects of Strategic Importance for the Economy and Security.

The order comes into force on December 9, 2021. If workers do not vaccinate, they will be dismissed without pay.

EU excludes Ukraine from green list
