Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced the introduction of new quarantine restrictions to fight Covid-19 from October 24 as Keep Talking Greece reported.

In the regions with the most difficult epidemic situation, the epidemical situation, the curfew will be introduced. It will act from 00:30 a.m. until 05:00 a.m.; however, there will be exclusions for people who work in night time and emergencies.

Starting from 06:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, the mask regime will be obligatory in the country outdoors and indoors.

“People can put off the masks in cafes and restaurants when they sit around the dinner table,” the PM said.

Є150 fine is provided for the violation of the rules for wearing of masks.

Appealing to the citizens, Mitsotakis noted that the pandemic is at the aggressive peak and the increase of the infected people is observed. He warned that the next months will be difficult and it is necessary to assume targeted measures to avoid another lockdown.

According to the PM, the reason for the increase of the cases of Covid-19 is partially tied with the increase of the number of tests for coronavirus.

As we reported, Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki stated that due to the sharp growth of the incidence, he will recommend to impose the highest level of restrictions due to Covid-19.
