The new TV channel Dim (House, - 112.international) started broadcasting in test mode in the temporarily occupied territory of Donbas, according to the presentation of the TV channel.

The TV channel started broadcasting on March 1. Its main goal is ‘the de-occupation of mind’ of the Ukrainian citizens.

“We held the talks with all big players at the TV market and agreed that the most premium contact will be broadcasted at this TV channel, particularly, the TV series, sports broadcasting and so on,” Deputy Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.

Soon, news of its own production and talk shows will be launched at the channel. It should intercept on its own production completely in two years. Then, it will be broadcasted by satellite and cable TV.

54% of the citizens of occupied territories have no access to the Ukrainian TV channels and 43% to the Ukrainian websites.

In November 2019, Culture Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Borodyansky stated that residents of 80 percent of the occupied Donbas might get the TV signal of the Ukrainian TV channel. Later, he announced the intention of the ministry to create the TV channel.
