Grand Princess, the cruise liner that covered the distance from San Francisco to Hawaii has been isolated due to the outbreak of the Chinese coronavirus. It was supposed to finish the tour on Saturday, March 7, San Francisco Chronicle wrote.
According to the outlet, two passengers of Grand Princess who previously traveled to Mexico appeared to be infected with the disease; one of them, the resident of Sacramento passed away.
Over 3,000 passemgers were onboard until then; when the ship reached the docks of San Francisco, about 2500 passengers (including the two infected) disembarked. The remaining passengers were isolated. The government believes they could be infected and spread the disease among others.
Currently, there are at least 20 people with the symptoms of influenza onboard. More than 200 tests for coronavirus will be shipped to the vessel.
