Critical situation with oxygen supplies in Odesa: Stocks to run dry by Monday evening

Odesa's hospitals faced a critical stuation with oxygen, as the supplies have almost run dry. Levon Nikogosyan, the Director of Healthcare Department of Odesa city hall said so during the session of the responsible operative authority.

According to the official, less than four tons of oxygen left in the city's infectious hospital on November 1. At that, just one medical facility used 1.3 tons on Sunday. 

"Due to the lack of oxygen, a car departed from Kurakhove town to Odesa, carrying 18 tons of oxygen. However, there's a problem: the car will arrive in at least 12 hours, and we need the oxygen already", he said.

Nikogosyan added that currently, the Healthcare Department expects the local authorities' decision, hoping for at least two tons of oxygen from the local portside plant.
