On February 22, in Zaporizhya, police reported the murder of a man, born in 1968. Ukrinform reported it, citing Kateryna Ludvik, representative of the press-office of the National Police in the Zaporizhya region.
"On February 22, at 18:46, we received message that a man, born in 1968, died in an ambulance after being stabbed with a knife in the chest," Ludvik commented.
Later, local Actualno media outlet, citing its own sources, reported that the victim was a local criminal boss nicknamed "Sarvan." He was an Azerbaijani by ethnicity.
According to Strana outlet, with reference to local media, "Sarvan" was involved in the drug market in Zaporizhya, was the organizer of a criminal group, had connections with Grigor, another influential local bandit.
"Sarvan" was stabbed near his own private house in Nyzhni Khortitsa in Zaporizhya.
