Crew Dragon docked to the International Space Station (ISS). This was reported on Twitter by NASA.

“Docking confirmed,” the organization tweeted.

The time of astronauts stay on the ISS will be determined later. Dragon can not be in orbit for more than four months: its solar panels will be destroyed by a long stay in space.

SpaceX developed the Crew Dragon ship under a contract with NASA, the US aerospace agency. The spacecraft of this series are planned to be used to deliver astronauts to the International Space Station. The first launch of Crew Dragon was made in March 2019, then the ship successfully reached the ISS in unmanned mode and returned to Earth.

Russian Roskosmos Space Agency gave its assessment of the launch of American Falcon 9 as well as Crew Dragon spacecrafts. Its commentary was made public by Sergey Krikalev, Executive Director for Russian Manned Space Programs on Twitter.

"I would like to greet our American colleagues. The next test cycle of the manned ship has begun. Such a ship has already flown in an unmanned version, but now, of course, such an important crucial option, when people flew on a new ship ... This opens a new stage in the manned program, in the world’s manned program, the program of the international space station where this ship flew to," said the director of manned space programs of Russia.

Krikalev expressed confidence that the success of this mission will create additional opportunities that will benefit the entire world manned program.
