The occupancy of hospital beds for patients infected with Covid-19 has already exceeded 50%. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov at a briefing.
"Currently, 29,666 beds are introduced in hospitals treating coronavirus disease, the rest remain in reserve. 50% of them have been occupied," Stepanov said.
He added that only patients with moderate and severe disease were hospitalized.
As we reported earlier, today, on September 30, Ukraine reported a new anti-record for Covid-19 daily incidence: over the last 24 hours, 4,027 new cases have been detected.
Most of the cases were observed in Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions - 549, 345, and 271, respectively.
As of now, there is no Ukrainian region that is ready to ease quarantine restrictions.
It is noted that over the last 14 days the number of new cases in all regions of the country has been more than 40 per 100,000 population. On average, it is 109.2 per 40,000 population.
The largest number of occupied beds is observed in the Ternopil region - 339.3.
