CovidUkraine: More than 5,000 new cases observed over last 24hrs

Over the last 24 hours, 5,133 new cases of coronavirus infection have been diagnosed in Ukraine. This is evidenced by data provided by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 270,587 people have become infected with coronavirus: 5,122 (+107 during the day) have died, 148,903 (+2,874) have recovered.

As of October 11, Ukraine occupied 11th place in the world rating in the number of cases of coronavirus infection. France, the UK, and Russia are the leaders in the number of new Covid-19 cases in Europe. Ukraine takes 7th place.

As we reported earlier, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is going to propose introducing strengthened quarantine in epidemic danger zones.

"At today’s session of the government we will suggest imposing stricter restrictions in our country, but without any lockdowns, things that will halt the economy. We understand that this is impossible now, we cannot introduce the second lockdown in the country," Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.
