Ukraine is facing a massive increase in the daily incidence of Covid-19: 8,312 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected over the last 24 hours, which a new anti-record. This is evidenced by data provided by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 378,729 people have been infected with the coronavirus in the country: 7,041 people have died (+173), and 155,026 (+3394) have managed to recover. As of now, there are 216,662 active cases.
As we reported earlier, today, on October 30, France will officially introduce its second nationwide lockdown amid an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection.
"The virus is circulating at a speed that not even the most pessimistic forecasts had anticipated,” Macron said. "We are all in the same position: overrun by a second wave which we know will be harder, more deadly than the first," French President Emmanuel Macron stated.
The new measures, which come into force on Friday, will mean people have to stay in their homes except to buy essential goods, seek medical attention, or use their daily one-hour allocation of exercise.
