Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 8,549 new cases of Covid-19, including 374 children and 145 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

3,051 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 351 patients deceased, and 14,956 recovered. 83,336 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv (671), Dnipropetrovsk (745), Kharkiv (730), Donetsk (570) and Cherkasy (537) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,078,086 people have contracted the disease, 1,670,481 have overcome it, 44,436 - have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, the State Commission on Environmental Safety, Manmade Disaster and Emergency Response may cancel the "red" level of epidemiological danger in Kyiv and Mykolaiv regions. This was announced by the chief sanitary doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko during a briefing.

It is planned that from May 1, a "yellow" level of epidemiological danger will be established in these regions. Thus, there will be seven regions in Ukraine that are in the "red" quarantine zone.
