571 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 40 patients deceased, and 2,736 recovered. 49,630 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv (202), Kharkiv (63), Lviv (61), Dnipropetrovsk (44) and Mykolaiv (44) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,229,044 people have contracted the disease, 2,150,708 have overcome it, 51,992 have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization (WHO) has urged Indonesia to enhance quarantine restrictions due to the new wave of coronavirus infections caused by the spread of new variants of Covid-19.
The WHO in its report noted that the sharp increase of the number of hospitalized people in Indonesia is a global problem. It demands stricter measures in the health and social issues spheres, including large-scale social restrictions.
“With increased transmission due to variants of concern, urgent action is needed to contain the situation in many provinces,” it says.
