Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 7,709 new cases of Covid-19, including 366 children and 198 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

2,888 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 121 patients deceased, and 5,145 recovered. 31,482 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Dnipropetrovsk (676), Lviv (676), Odesa (568), Kyiv (568), Zaporizhzhia (445) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,019,876 cases of Covid-19 have been registered in Ukraine: 651,917 patients have recovered, 17,702 people have died from complications caused by the disease.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organization believes that the world is still far from the end of the coronavirus pandemic.

"There is a general knowledge that such viruses have been developing for about two years, so we are still only half way,"  the director of the WHO European Bureau Hans Kluge said.

Kluge added that it is difficult for the organization to forecast the development of the coronavirus situation, since it is very unpredictable.
