2,197 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 322 patients deceased, and 17,202 recovered. 76,496 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (544), Kharkiv (630), Dnipropetrovsk (518), Donetsk (480) and Lviv (432) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,150,244 people have contracted the disease, 1,849,803 have overcome it, 47,942 - have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, the second year of the coronavirus pandemic could claim far more lives than the first one. This was stated by the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Ghebreyesus.
"Covid-19 has already cost more than 3.3 million lives and we’re on track for the second year of this pandemic to be far more deadly than the first," he said.
Ghebreyesus noted that saving lives and livelihoods with a combination of public health measures and vaccination – not one or the other - is the only way out of the pandemic.
