Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 6,234 new cases of Covid-19, including 689 children and 89 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

1,719 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 79 patients deceased and 1,763 recovered. 72,474 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kharkiv (761), Lviv (585), Dnipropetrovsk (434), Kyiv city (416) and Odesa (399) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,344,398 people have contracted the disease, 2,230,306 have overcome it, 54,829 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine has allowed the combination of Moderna and Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines. 

“If the first vaccination is given with Moderna vaccine, the second can be done with Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech and vice versa,” the statement reads.

The ministry said that if a mRNA vaccine from the same manufacturer is not available, a vaccine on a mRNA platform from another manufacturer can be used for the second vaccination. At the same time, the department notes that the combination of Moderna and Comirnaty/Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines is safe and effective.
