In Ukraine, 5,116 people have gotten infected with coronavirus over the last 24 hours. This was announced by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov on his Facebook page.

The largest number of confirmed cases was registered in the city of Kyiv (898), Poltava (520), Zaporizhia (463), Odesa (315), and Lviv (312) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,124,430 cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the country: 812,368 people have recovered (+15,951 per day) and 20,019 people (+184 per day) have died from complications caused by the disease.

As we reported earlier, according to the Chinese scientists from the city of Wuhan, the city that held the first outbreak of Covid-19, the symptoms of the disease can appear within six months after recovery.

The study involved 1,733 people hospitalized with Covid-19. About three-quarters of patients reported persisting symptoms six months after they were diagnosed. Specifically, 63% of the subjects said they still suffer from fatigue or muscle weakness. 23% reported anxiety or depression, and 26% reported having trouble sleeping.
