5,062 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Ukraine over the last 24 hours. This is evidenced by data provided by the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 281,239 people have been diagnosed with the disease: 5,302 have died (+73 per day), 119,650 (+951) have managed to recover.

As we reported earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) believes that the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic will not take place as the growth of the incidence is observed only in some countries.

The types and forms of the coronavirus show that there is no second wave of the pandemic,” Dorit Nitzan, the WHO Regional Emergency Director, said.

Meanwhile, more than 180 countries have pledged to participate in the World Health Organization (WHO) COVAX program to fund Covid-19 vaccines.

"The covax mechanism is gaining its momentum. More than 180 countries, including China, have joined it. These countries are home to 99% of the world's population," the statement said.
