As of September 29, 204,932 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, 3,627 people have been diagnosed with the disease. This was reported on the website of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
A total of 4,065 people (+69) have already died in the country as a result of complications caused by the disease, but 88,453 patients have managed to recover.
The highest number of cases per day has been recorded in the Kharkiv region - 426, Kyiv - 416, and Odesa region - 271.
As we reported earlier, according to the research article of American scientists from Boston University, people with normal and above normal levels of vitamin D in their blood have a much better chance of recovering from coronavirus disease.
In particular, among people over 40 years old with a normal amount of vitamin D, mortality rates from coronavirus are 51.5% lower.
Besides that, it was reported that coronavirus infection broke bonds between particular cellular proteins and blood that lead to a numb of the pain of people infected with it.
