Over the past 24hrs, 3,143 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Ukraine. This was announced by Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

A total of 1,276,618 people have contracted Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 1,122,968 (+6,189) have recovered, and 24,542 (+150) have died.

The largest numbers of confirmed cases were registered in the city of Kyiv (308), Ivano-Frankivsk (621), Chernivtsi (343), Vinnytsia (210), and Zakarpattia (204) oblasts.

Speaking on the number of cases in each region: Kyiv - 308 cases; Vinnytsia region - 210 cases; Volyn region - 95 cases; Dnipropetrovsk region - 85 cases; Donetsk region - 60 cases; Zhytomyr region - 18 cases; Zakarpattia region - 204 cases; Zaporizhia region - 95 cases; Ivano-Frankivsk region - 621 cases; Kyiv region - 136 cases; Kirovohrad region - 20 cases; Luhansk region - 26 cases; Lviv region - 115 cases; Mykolaiv area - 55 cases; Odesa region - 127 cases; Poltava region - 149 cases; Rivne region - 88 cases; Sumy region - seven cases; Ternopil region - 67 cases; Kharkiv region - 131 cases; Kherson region - six cases; Khmelnytskyi region - 50 cases; Cherkasy region - 99 cases; Chernivtsi region - 343 cases; Chernihiv region - 28 cases.

As we reported earlier, according to the head of the WHO representative office in Ukraine Jarno Habicht, new strains of Covid-19 have not been encountered in Ukraine yet.
