Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 1,804 new cases of Covid-19, including 262 children and 74 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

1,168 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 114 patients deceased and 2,537 recovered. 17,437 tests have been taken.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 3,676,342 people have contracted the disease, 3,479,725 have overcome it, 96,301 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, Chief Sanitary Doctor Ihor Kuzin admitted the possibility of introducing a lockdown in Ukraine due to the new Omicron coronavirus strain.

"Now we are not talking about a lockdown, but potentially, depending on the development of the situation, anything is possible," he said.

Kuzin noted that it is impossible to predict finally how many patients will appear, what the load will be. At the same time, he stressed that Omicron could lead to unpredictable consequences.
