Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 1,732 new cases of Covid-19, including 104 children and 32 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

616 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 38 patients deceased and 763 recovered. 55,925 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (232), Kharkiv (156), Dnipropetrovsk (148), Odesa (127) and Zaporizhia (119) regions.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,273,558 people have contracted the disease, 2,200,763 have overcome it, 53,432 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, the first case of infection with coronavirus is observed among the partakers of the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

It is noted that the athlete received the positive test for coronavirus during a 14-day period of self-isolation after the arrival in Japan.

According to the officials, this athlete did not stay in the Paralympic village.

It is the first case before the beginning of the Paralympic Games in Tokyo that start on August 24.
