3,305 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 568 patients deceased and 22,946 recovered. 95,515 tests have been taken.
Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (1630), Donetsk (1044), Poltava (904), Dnipropetrovsk (866) and Vinnytsia (823) regions.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 3,414,540 people have contracted the disease, 2,899,967 have overcome it, 84,717 have succumbed to it.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organization Technical Advisory Group on SARS-CoV-2 Virus Evolution (TAG-VE) has named the coronavirus strain B.1.1.529 with 32 mutations "Omicron". This was reported by the WHO press service.
"This variant has a large number of mutations, some of which are concerning. Preliminary evidence suggests an increased risk of reinfection with this variant," the WHO experts said.
