CovidUkraine: 11,590 new cases over last 24hrs

Over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian doctors confirmed 11,590 new cases of Covid-19, including 627 children and 493 healthcare workers. Coronavirus_Info Telegram channel reports it.

1,127 people have been taken to hospitals during this period; 167 patients deceased, and 6,048 recovered. 42,096 tests have been taken.

Most of the confirmed cases have been observed in Kyiv city (1,518), Odesa (1,002), Zaporizhzhia (817), Kyiv (809), and Dnipropetrovsk (798) regions. 

813,306 people have got sick since the pandemic began in Ukraine, 418,581 recovered.

According to chief sanitary doctor Viktor Lyashko, the country plans to vaccinate against coronavirus 20.9 million people (50% of the population of Ukraine) in 2021.  Those will be people who are at risk for professional reasons, the presence of concomitant diseases, and age.

The emergence of a vaccine against coronavirus disease from global manufacturers is expected in Ukraine at the end of the first - beginning of the second quarter of 2021.
