Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 2,541,257 people have contracted the disease, 2,290,427 have overcome it, 58,493 have succumbed to it.

Meanwhile, feature of the new wave of Covid-19 in Ukraine is a sharp drop in the saturation level - the level of oxygen in the blood of patients. This was stated by Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko at a briefing in Kherson, during a working trip to the region.

"It is characteristic that (the doctors shared today), when the saturation falls sharply from 92 to 70. And this is a critical state when it is very difficult to bring a person back to life," the minister said.

Such a sharp drop in the level of oxygen in the blood of patients is a sign of the Delta strain.
