Fraudsters try to steal bank card numbers and other data

Fraudulent schemes have appeared in Ukraine, under which criminals on behalf of the Ministry of Health try to steal bank card numbers and other personal data from Ukrainians on the pretext of paying UAH 1,000 for vaccination. This was announced by Health Minister Viktor Lyashko during a briefing.

"I would like to draw your attention to the emergence of new methods of defrauding money. Currently, on behalf of the Ministry of Health, they are sending information with a request to send a card number and other personal data to receive UAH 1,000 for a full course of vaccination against coronavirus. On behalf of the ministry, no messages were generated or sent to citizens," the minister said.

Lyashko also said that the program of targeted financing of vulnerable categories of business during the quarantine will begin on December 19. The mechanism for obtaining financial assistance - online through the Diya mobile application.

As we reported earlier, 70,797 people were vaccinated against coronavirus in Ukraine on December 5.

27,161 people received one dose, 43,636 were fully immunized.

Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 13,753,66 people have been vaccinated, of whom 13,753,64 received the first dose and 11, 806,77 received two doses and were fully immunized (two of them received one dose abroad).
