As of the morning of May 12, 16,023 cases of coronavirus infection have been officially confirmed in Ukraine. This was reported by Ukraine’s Public Health Center.

375 new cases have been observed over the last 24 hours. On May 11, 17 people died from complications caused by COVID-19, and 85 recovered.

Speaking on the statistics at the regional level: Chernivtsi region - 2396 cases; Kyiv - 1930; Ivano-Frankivsk region - 1133; Rivne region - 1028; Kyiv region - 1023; Ternopil region - 1021; Lviv region - 825; Dnipropetrovsk region - 748; Transcarpathian region - 748; Odesa region - 653; Kharkiv region - 623; Vinnytsia region - 580; Zhytomyr region - 525; Volyn region - 496; Kirovohrad region - 425; Cherkasy region - 343; Zaporozhiya region - 331; Poltava region - 248; Mykolaiv region - 225; Khmelnytskyi region - 182; Kherson region - 162; Sumy region - 157; Donetsk region - 100; Chernihiv region - 79.

As we reported earlier, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine plans to prolong the lockdown after May 22.

"Officially lockdown is prolonged until May 22, but this is not the deadline. We will continue," Prime Minister Denys Shmygal stated.
