Covid certificates for Ukrainian citizens to be valid for up to 180 days

The Covid certificate in Ukraine may be introduced on July 1. The document will be valid for up to 180 days. Roman Rodyna, the General Director of Public Healthcare Centre said so on air at Doctor Bulavinova Youtube channel.

"We are currently working to implement the decree of the Cabinet, which is to define the conditions of Covid certificate issuance. We hope that it will start working already on July 1", Rodyna said.

Rodyna named three reasons for such certificate to be issued. The document will be issued to those who completed the full vaccination course, those who recovered from Covid-19 (which is confirmed by the lab data in the eHealth digital system) and those who received negative PCR tests. In the latter case, the certificate will be valid within 72 hours since the sample was taken.

According to the official, the question whether these certificates will be recognized in other countries will be solved as bilateral agreements with these countries are signed.

Over half of 27 EU states-members began to use digital Covid-19 certificates within the preparation for the tourist splash as Xinhua reported.

According to President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, all 27 EU states-members should introduce certificates from July 1; however, currently, 15 of them have connected to system of digital Covid-19 passports, including Belgium. The official urged EU members to connect to this system until July 1.

“If you want, you can voluntarily connect earlier,” Ursula von der Leyen stated.
