The first case of coronavirus infection has been confirmed in Vinnytsia today, on March 25. This was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia regional laboratory center of Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry.
According to the center, as of 15:00, 27 suspected coronavirus infections were registered in the region, 23 of which were not laboratory confirmed.
"The diagnosis of the one case was confirmed by the laboratory," the statement said.
Meanwhile, three new cases of coronavirus have been observed in Kyiv. Thus, the number of cases has increased to 34 people.
As of now, almost 90 thousand people have returned to Ukraine due to the spread of Covid-19 across European countries.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmygal, any passenger movement across the border of Ukraine will be blocked, starting from March 27.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has prolonged a lockdown across the country for 30 days.
The government also has made the decision to introduce an emergency situation in Ukraine for a period of 30 days. Thus, it is expected to end on April 24, 2020.
