Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov expects that the coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Ukraine at the end of the first quarter of 2021. He made such a forecast on the air of Ukraine 24 TV channel.
"In my opinion, registration should take place before the new year. Then the process of production and supply of vaccines begins. I think that we will actually get the vaccine at the end of the first quarter at best," the official said.
According to him, none of the vaccines that the world's pharmaceutical companies are working on has yet passed the third stage of clinical trials.
As we reported earlier, according to the results of the interim analysis of the data of the third phase of the clinical trials, the effectiveness of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus made 92%.
“The first interim data analysis of the Sputnik V vaccine against Covid-19 phase III clinical trials in the Russian Federation demonstrated 92% efficacy,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Jerusalem’s Hadassah Medical Center ordered 1.5 million doses of the vaccine.
