Over the past 24 hours, 1,157 patients have been cured of coronavirus infection in Ukraine, which is a new record. This was reported on the website of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
A total of 64,703 people have been infected with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine. At the same time, the number of active Covid-19 cases is 76,505.
The largest number of recoveries is registered in Lviv region - 154, Ivano-Frankivsk region - 130, and in Chernivtsi region - 90.
As we reported earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) predicts that the current coronavirus pandemic is not the last one and the countries should be better prepared for the next one.
“This will not be the last pandemic. History teaches us that outbreaks and pandemics are a fact of life. But when the next pandemic comes, the world must be ready – more ready than it was this time,” WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus stated.
That is why the organization urged the countries to invest in public health in order to prepare better for the next pandemic.
